Bling ring

Simple Rings (H&M and Forever 21), Bracelets + Earcuff earring (Forever 21)

A bit redundant, but I as well have jumped on the "lots and lots of rings" bandwagon. Behold my mini "simple rings" collection. I like to mix silver and gold together when I wear them out, it looks less cheesy. On a personal note, I've got the end of the semester blues, and I'm pressured to get an internship. I've applied for five so far, writing cover letters for three more at the moment. And here I am sketching ideas for classes on top of blogging + making websites. I'm so Productive! I swear!

Just a little bit on me

Wearing: Hat (Free People), Necklace (Lyndell NYC), Sweater and Skirt (Vintage), Suspender's Tights (House of Holland at Topshop), Booties (Report Aydin Booties), Rings (Romwe), Samsung S3 Bunny Case (from China)

Last minute Christmas shopping. And I swear, it's not because I'm last minute...it's because I couldn't go out to buy all my gifts till today. Going pay check to pay check for gas in my car is no fun. And today is the payday, soooo it's time to buy all the presents! :D

If you're reading my blog, you've probably noticed I don't wear make-up very often. It's because I prefer keeping my face clean of dirt and oil. I reallyy hate when my acne flares up so I'd much rather wear nothing on me than risk more acne on my face. :P Even foundation messes with my skin! I've had quite the journey to acquire clearer skin from my teenhood years. Like many others, I used Acutane as I got it from my dermatologist. I tried many other topical solutions and pill solutions beforehand, and this was what worked for me. But it's not a miracle cure for all acne. You still have to maintain with topical solutions when you do flare up from the environment and etc. With stress from school and all nighters, you can imagine the toll it takes on my skin....I've also got dry patches every now and then as a result of the Acutane. But I use CeraVe lotions (google it's like $12) on all over to make sure everything is moisturized.

Most people get really reprimanded for not wearing makeup especially in a incredibly visual world, but I've found just being in my skin with minimal make-up really is just fine. I can be confident with a little bit on me!

Florals for Fall once more

Wearing: White Lace Blazer and Dotted Blouse (thrifted vintage), Pleather pants (H&M), Pointed Heels (BCBG Max Azria), Earrings (Hot Topic [old]), Hat (F21 [old]). Clutch (Steve Madden)

Recent Thrifts: Gold twist bracelet ($1.59) and Coach Red Bangle ($1.89)

I'm so excited! I went to the Value World recently and got a fantastic 80's plaid dress for $6 (pictures coming soon!) and these bracelets for super cheap! I can't believe this bracelet is COACH too! How do I know? Well it's engraved in a gold plate inside the bracelet. Fantastic. And they didn't mark up the price! Such a steal. The other bracelet is a brand called MONET and I'm not too familiar with that brand, but the Value world had lots of it's vintage jewelry. Value world is also where I got this gorgeous blazer as well. Gosh I love that place.
So I'm feeling like vintage love at the moment, so I can't wait to debut some more of my finds on here, I hope you like them as much as I do! So I hope you don't mind so many vintage detail posts. In other news, I recently did a photo shoot with some of my colleges Kendra and Koren of KKNS Photography/Graphic Design. We filled up their memory card to the brim so now it's just a matter of picking a few photos to debut on The Dippster, so I hope you enjoy them when I get them up too.

See ya again soon!

Accessory abuse

Wearing:
Sunglasses (Delia's [old])
Sheer top and Silver bar necklace(Forever 21)
Maroon Shorts (BDG from Urban Outfitters)
Silver Crown Necklace (buy on Amazon.com)
Rainbow gem necklace, Purse, and wooden ring (thrifted)
Silver watch (Nine West)
Leather bracelet and Gold rings (Romwe)

Took a few quick snaps of a shopping outfit. I spammed more accessories than usual here, because I couldn't wear layers today with the temperature over 90 degrees! Crazy. Sometimes I get very lazy when weather is this hot, when nothing I wear seems to give comfort to the weather.
But, with accessories, it can be an easy fix to a simple outfit.

This week, I will be attending my grandmother's funeral in Wisconsin for a traditional funeral. So, expect alot of all black outfits in the coming days.
I've got lots of black in my wardrobe so there's no problem for a week-long 24-7 Hmong traditional funeral, so I'll share with you all a little bit of Hmong culture and my funeral style, as depressing as it sounds.

Till later then,
From Likkie :3
