A new shift

Wearing: Hat (Forever 21), Top + Scarf + High-Waisted Jeans (H&M), Cardigan (Urban outfitters), Shoes (Steve Madden Andie Burgundy)

My last semester of school. A new internship. A chance to be confident in body and soul. These are just a few things I have to look forward to in the new year, I'm a bit nervous! There will be huge changes in my 2015 and they'll surely be things that will make me happy I'm positive! At least that's what I'll tell myself. Speaking of 'body', I'll be trying out Buzzfeed's Get Fit 2015 challange! At the end of the month, I hope I can do all the work outs without stopping inbetween to catch my breath. I want arms as defined as my high school days! I've let them go. But that's all for now, thanks for tuning in this new year!

Wasteland

Wearing: Jacket (similar), Dress (Vintage), Hat (similar), Report Aydin Boots

Effortless is ideal. That's what I try to tell myself everyday as the goal to keeping my wardrobe as clean and crisp as possible. I've been around as a retail worker here and back so I know how trends are sold and thrust at consumers, so lately I've been inching for more classic staples and vintage objects. For example, I've been waiting for fall weather to strike to break out this velvet dress. It's an 80's vintage piece made to be sultry and sexy, I'm loving the v-cut neck and back-line on this it screams vixen! You don't find things that feel as good and look as simple as this dress anymore! But I'm shameful to admit, I'm still a sucker for good prices from Forever 21 and H&M. It's a bit hard to resist the pull. I always find something I'd like to add to my wardrobe from these mall favorites. How do I resist the pull? By reading. Lots of reading. Particularly reading these texts in the picture above. They keep you busy and give you great inspiration to...not to live as fast as fast-fashion.

Lately in Future-Past

Wearing: Jacket (Vintage Levis), Snapback + Slip Dress + Sandals (Asos)

My BF's somber apartment view.

Bubble Tea at Saigon.

Oh Asos. Take my wallet. I had been looking for another basic midi slip-dress with a twist, and found this one in their summer sale. I love how it feels; airy and comfortable against me. Perfect for this heat.

So after debating with myself all summer, I decided to not keep my internship through the school year. My co-workers gave me some flowers as a parting gift which was very endearing to me. But I'm back in the frying pan, it's senior year! So that means capstone projects and personal projects galore. Visual Communication Design can be demanding sometimes so time will be of the essence for many projects. I'm glad to have had the experiences that I did at my internship over the summer, but now I will focus my efforts on my own work and what it means to me. I have a feeling this blog will immensely grow to be apart of what "work" means to me, so please look forward to my journey in this crazy visual world.

Forbidden Nights

Wearing: Hat + Earrings (Forever 21), Top (Staring at Stars), Trousers (Cynthia Rowley -old-), Shoes (Restricted), Purse (Coach -vintage-)

I've been out doing things I shouldn't be doing lately so I've been dressed to kill. This top...is magic. The most basic thing you'd ever seen on a rack but it's now my favorite thing in my closet. I actually bought this once, returned it, and went back to buy it again. I fretted a bit bout the price because...well it's a drape t-shirt that i could make if I had time...but I don't have the time! So now it stays in my closet. It's got a witch-like quality that in a way, suits me. Why did I ever return it in the first place??

White Gingham

Wearing: Matching set (H&M), Blazer (Vintage), Bag (Aldo -old-), Sandals (Asos), Sunglasses (-old-), Necklace (Target here's simular), Watch (Nine West -old-)

White after Labor Day. And for work too! I wore this seemingly impossible ensemble to work yesterday, It seems so sexy in these pictures but subdued in a blazer. (Plus I pulled up the skirt so no mid-drift peek-a-boo) I'm always one to break rules. Hehe.

Tomorrow is the Smiley Birthday Bash! My friends and I will be there because we got free tickets. Should be a good time to take pictures and have some fun. :3

Newly Purchased

Work Lunch at The Legend Cafe in Irvington.

Tops from Loeil

Vintage 80's Coach Purse (Thrifted)

Wearing: Top (H&M), Slim-fit trousers (Cynthia Rowley -old-), Sandals (Nine West -old-)

Simply enjoying the abundant cash that comes with working full time. Don't mind me. I'm thoroughly enjoying what my mum calls "hospital shoes" this spring, I've been hunting for something like these for over a year ever since I saw similar on Kastor & Pollux. Dani and Bianca are gorgeous. They're an endless amount of inspiration for anyone who needs an idea for an outfit. I envy anyone who can have a double blogger fiasco. It's hard enough to plan photos for one person, but with a duo? How. Do. They. DO it? It'd be a nice question to ask these duos.
If you ever want to check out a few more great blogger pairs, I also highly recommend Ready Two Wear and We Heart Fashion. They're twice the amount of inspiration!

Dark Daisy

Wearing: Daisy Dress (H&M), Sheer Tunic (Urban Outfitters -old- here's similar ),
Sandals (Steve Madden -old- more similar), Eye Shadow (Naked Palette).

Lazy Sunday. I've been trying to keep my wardrobe more professional at the agency, however it's increasingly getting harder to pair things with my casual items as I have become an art-school-student-turned-being-full-time-agency-intern. It's definitely hard work to pick clothes for! However, the blessing of my workplace is that I can wear whatever I want, but I still want to keep it work appropriate regardless, how much should I push the boundaries of dress? I'm the only woman in the creative department as the intern atm, so no examples have been set in the workplace except our accountant who has lots of quirky ways to wear patterned socks with his dress shoes. Everyday I see him, he has different socks, strategically paired with his effortless outfits. Menswear is a great inspiration in professional wear, seeing his new socks inspires me to get better socks! I'm a slacker when it comes to socks+shoes. Terrible really. Need to improve my sock collection!
